Think.

When I met Jamie, I was bowled over by his passion for embracing sustainability and environmental responsibility in running restaurants, and it was immediately clear that we share a belief that it’s time to start doing things in a better way. We see the concept as a union of these ideals with great food and drink served in a relaxed ambience – a strong, seasonal restaurant rooted in sustainability.

When we created T.E.D Restaurant & Bar, we applied these principles across the board, so the interior features up-cycled salvaged materials and recycled glass, eco paint on the walls, and recycled doors to use as panelling. We now implement this philosophy in the day to day running of the restaurant - as far as possible without affecting the diner's experience - from finding the greenest coffee machine and fridges, to not burning any fossil fuel in the kitchen and ensuring no waste goes to landfill. At the same time, we're sourcing the best available ingredients (organic as far as possible) to create special dishes for our diners to enjoy, whatever the occasion.

We're particularly proud that many of our suppliers have become members of ‘Think. Eat. Drink’, a community founded and led by Jamie which links like-minded hospitality businesses, encouraging them to supply and source from each other; thinking, eating, and drinking more ethically.

Eat.

Our head chef, Daniel Kerr, makes eating at T.E.D restaurant special.

Daniel and his team source British ingredients and the best seasonal produce available, showcased in our regularly changing lunch and dinner menus, including our excellent value set-lunch.

April’s seasonal fare: Asparagus, English Peas, Broad Beans, Spring Lamb, Halibut.

Drink.

General manager Mimi has created a selection of house cocktails, ideal for before or after a meal – or just on their own! - using fresh ingredients that change with the season. There are also plenty of non-alcoholic options too.

Over many years Jamie has forged close relationships with the very best ethical wine makers and suppliers, at T.E.D Restaurant he has brought all of this together and created a list that boasts the very best international ethical wines.

They range from stunning organics, to bold biodynamic, charismatic carbon natural, to the very best of British, all of this once again does not sacrifice the quality and taste of these beautiful wines, so please do enjoy.

Both the upper and lower floors of T.E.D Restaurant, either individually or combined, are available to hire for private parties. What’s more, our in house Events team, characterized by their highly personal and creative approach, is on hand to ensure your function happens exactly as you had imagined.
